This is a blog about software test automation. Its focus is mainly on functional automation (UI testing) , but I might also touch upon the topic of test automation from the developers' point of view (i.e. unit testing) and also share some thoughts on software testing in general.
I will try to use my experience in the field to point out things that work, to debunk some myths, compare some tools and try to be helpful to anyone who is interested in test automation.
Test automation is somewhat obscure area of testing (which itself is a somewhat obscure area of software development) and I feel that some practical insight can be useful to those out there, who are trying to find their way in the field.
Please be advised that I might be somewhat opinionated and feel free to disagree.

Hi,
I’d like to introduce you to JSystem. It’s an open-source test automation management tool, deployed often with Selenium and JMeter.
It’s a true and tried product, been around for some time, deployed especially in telecom labs (it’s good for distributed environments incorporating many components) and for Java and Web products (you can see a list of deployments here: http://www.ignissoft.com/implementations).
